Do science and fashion ever overlap? Coming from the world of science, I can attest that the fashionable scientist is hard to find. However as of late companies such as Itsnoname and artists like Andriy Kurovets are taking design cues from chemistry and biology. These specific examples range from kitschy to macabre, as Kurovets has taken his inspiration from the AIDS virus. But I think that they work and hopefully signal the beginning of a more intertwined relationship between these fields. In terms of what to wear with these pieces I would recommend a bespoke lab coat; remember even if it is a lab coat, accessorize it with a pocket square, not a pocket protector.
